compiz has gone away :(

It seems that since some recent updates, compiz no longer works and the custom option has been removed from System>Preferences>Appearance. Has this happened to everyone or is it just me? The only reason i noticed was because my wobbly windows were no longer wobbly...

It's happened to quite a few people due to an xorg update. Reinstall your video drivers and you should be right. Are you running a non-repo nvidia driver by any chance?

nah just standard nvidia drivers...i wonder why it only happened to a few people? strange :(

go to system/administration/hardware drivers and re-enable nvidea

I reinstalled mine from the command line (I'm using non-repo nvidia drivers), but I guess you just need to dis-enable and then re-enable?
