Possible Solution for Lost Threads posted by beginners

I think it is becoming a growing problem that beginners on the forums lose their threads, especially if those threads are not answered quickly and fall off the front page for awhile.
As a suggestion, I think that upon registration, it should default new users to automatically be subscribed to their threads and receive email alerts about them. In that email, it can tell them how to disable the email alerts and how to auto-subscribe to any other threads they post in.

That sounds like a good idea, at least autosubscribe for ABT threads by default if possible.
