i have a 500GB Lacie USB harddrive which is windows formatted. when i connect this drive to my computer running ubuntu 8.04 the computer keeps doing what it should do except for the usb controller which hangs completely. effectively making the computer uncontrollable as my keyboard and mouse are also connected by usb.
i have a M2A-VM HDMI mobo which has 690G chipset and SB600 southbridge.
