Hi all,
I seem to have an issue that is prevalent, but for which I could not find a resolution. Host: Ubuntu 8.04, VMware Server 1.0.6 build-91891. Guest: WinXP Pro SP2. The guest installation was dreadfully slow but finally seemed to complete. Upon reboot, the guest will no longer detect the CDROM as a bootable device, the POST runs (well flashes) and the screen goes blank. Things appear to be running but I can't see anything.
Should it matter the hardware is Dell Inspiron 6400 Centrino Duo @ 1.83GHz, 2GB ram.
Any ideas?
