[SOLVED] Set log on screen to the same resolution I am running on my system.

How would I go about changing the log on screen to 1280x1024 which is the same resolution I am running in Ubuntu. Right now the log on screen looks like it is 800x600 or in that general vicinity.

Got the screen size fixed, now I am having a problem with the login text. When I type my login name and passsword the letters are so large they are out of the boxes. Is there a way to make the lettering smaller.

Modified gdm.conf to correct the text error. Made the text size -dpi 96.
Also modified usplash.conf to 1280x1024 to match screen sizes.
