After sucessfully installing hardy inside Vista on my laptop (which I am currently using) I wanted to do the same on my desktop. However after running the installer, everytime I try to boot ubuntu I get the busybox prompt. Casper.log prints a whole load of errors about mounting sda1,sda2 etc and ends with the error

"Unable to find a medium with a live file system"

I think my hardrive is in a RAID 0 config but I don't know how to tell really. Is there anything I can do? I've searched but found no answers on these forums

a raid means you have two or more hard disks that look like a single hard disk.

raids are not supported in 8.04

So what can I do? Does this mean I can't use ubuntu? Pretty lame reason if you ask me, there must be millions of people using RAID

Raids are supported, but software raids are not.

They will be supported in the next version which will be out in october.
