Hello I have been using Firebird on Ubuntu i386 with much success. I recently got a dual Xeon (EM64T) machine, and I installed ubuntu on it, but I cannot find the Firebird package. Am I missing something? Is Firebird just not in the EM64T repositories? If not, is there a way to install the i386 version?

I'm sure he means Firebird the database server, which is why Mozilla had to change the name to Firefox in the first place.

I most definetely mean the Firebird RDBMS (http://www.firebirdsql.org), not the browser. This is server talk after all ;) . I'm reading up on using PostgreSQL though. It looks like it has everything I need except the databases are not so much self contained.
