Hello,
I apologize if this has been posted. I am sure I am not the only one that has experienced this.
I have an Acer Aspire 5610z laptop with an integrated intel chipset (i945)
- Default install of ubuntu, with no changes to the core packages. I have installed some games, but that is about it.
The problem is, when I put games fullscreen on my native resolution, the games freeze on startup. After reading suggestions, I found that turning off the visual effects fixes the problems, but it is a pain in the *** to do everytime I wish to play a game.
Does anyone know why my visual effects are causing this conflict, and what I can do to fix the problem?
