hi i would like to be able to adjust the screen backlight brightness on my laptop . i found a little tool on the add remove programs thing that is supposed to do this , i installed it but cannot get it to work ,when i put my pointer on the icon it says cannot get laptop panel brightness. when i move the slider up and down it does nothing.
does anyone know how i can fix this please.

What is your laptop and what graphics card do you have?

Do you have any functions on the keyboard?

My laptop has a Fn button which i hole whilst pressing F5 and F6 to adjust brightness.

hi its actualy a tatung tablet pc , i am not aware of any other way of adjusting the screen brightness with buttons etc, when windows was installed it was done from a menu on control panel. Thanks Andrew

there is a fn button on the tablet but it does nothing also tried the fn and f5 f6 on keyboard again nothing happens . please sopmeone help me sort this problem its flatening my batteries to fast as brightness seems to be set at max , have had this problem for months now and despite spending hours even days on it i cannot solve it
