View Full Version : NO CD/DVD ROM drive found

Is there a general fix for this. I installed Ground Control II using the wine 0.9. It seems with every game, this is an issue. Am I missing a setting in my wine configuration file? Thanks in advance.

you have to point the cd-rom portion of the wine config to your cd-rom

Yep. I got this figured out. You're correct. My only other problem was that once I got the drive recognized, it would authenticate the game CD as being original. :confused:

The game in question is Mech Commander II. Wine is great and all but I have yet to get ANY game working without Transgaming's version of wine. It's never the files themselves that make wine puke, it seems as though it is either a cd-rom or authentication issue.
