Any success with Intel DG35ECB MOBO?

Most curious about GMA X3500 onboard video capability "out of the box".

Looking for info about the same thing here.

I have an Intel DG35EC mobo, can't enable compiz with the GMA3500, it looks downright weird with everything turned upside down(see screenshot). Metacity compositing works OK though, and so I can use AWN and Screenlets. Slideshows in F-spot look crazy though. Couldn't any info online. On the other hand this isn't a fresh install, just swapped in a hard drive with Ubuntu 8.10 from my old box with an nVidia 8400GS and did a dpkg-reconfigure to update xorg.conf. So maybe a fresh install would help.
I'm waiting for Jaunty final release to do a clean reinstall and see how it goes.
