printing problem gnome? or

installed printer in ubuntu 8.04 using system>admin>printing and configured CUPs all test pages working fine bu i can not print in any application except open office. when i go to file>print> in any application printing window appears with the list of installed printers but print button is disabled when i choose my printer. can print to file only. Also can print any file using terminal using lp or gtklp , lpr doesn't work.
any ideas what happened? may be gnome bug ?

Same problem here. Look at this thread (http://ubuntu-virginia.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=852007&highlight=firefox+print). You had any luck fixing it?
