hi i seem to be posting questions on the forum but rarly get a reply that is of much help, occasionly i get somone realy good and am very gratful for there help. however there seem to be so many problems in getting everything working with ubuntu . i definitley need help , i post most of my questions under beginers section as i am farley new to ubuntu ,despite pursavering , i still have no working printer , scanner ,dvd writer and probably the most anoying of all no flash player working with opera browser after spending hundreds of hours on it and i am not exagerating. i have been using unbuntu for about 6 months now but its not realy usable with so much stuf not working. its a real shame as what does work is definitly better than windows . as to the questions am i posting in the wrong section or something as i dont seem to be getting any answers. thanks andrew

It depends what issues you are experiencing :)

I'm sure that people will be looking into them, it may just be that nobody can think of a solution at this particular time :)

As well as this you need to remember that all the forum members are volunteer's, we all have lives outside the forums :) Hope this answers your question (if only a little)

Whatever you do post one problem at a time.

Flash and firefox are playing real nice for me.

Post a question, and we'll do our best to answer it. I can give no more than that.

Well done for your stickability. Sometimes patience is a good thing; if you want a reply to your questions, try not to start a new thread when your patience is wearing thin: chances are someone will have seen your question. It can get confusing when someone asks the same question twice, and has two discussions going about solving the same problem.

It looks to me as if most of your threads have been answered.

Of the four that haven't, two were posted within the last hour, and two have something to do with a tatung tablet (whatever that is).

I don't see the problem.

Linux is NOT Windows (http://linux.oneandoneis2.org/LNW.htm)

The above link changed the way i looked at linux and FOSS. Also, i've noticed that u hv not read e-books or websites on Linux/Ubuntu. They'll also be of real great help!!

Plz improve ur punctuation and decrease ur mistakes. i found it difficult to read the post made by u. Do you know if the poster's first language is English.

What does u hv mean? Is it some esoteric language for youth?

I think it's "you have" ;)

Though I agree with overdrank and forestpixie - it just gets difficult to read posts when people post using "internet speak" as I call it.

I saw somebody's sig once that said "If you type 'plz hlp me' because it's easier to type - I'll type 'no' because it's easier to type than 'yes'" :p

I certainly wasn't aiming my post at you and in fatc understood what you were trying to say. My post and I assume overdranks too was aimed at the

part of another post.

So I hope that clears that little thing up. I'm constantly amazed by the level of english posted here by, for instance those whose first language isn't English, and wish that I had a facility for learning new languages.

#I have had a look at your threads - I can't help much I'm afraid, but I do see that the opera flash thread is solved - could you mark it as such, stops people looking to help if there's no need.

Try also not to tack new problems on to the end of a post- especially if you've made a thread for it - no one knows what the threads about if you do that :)
