How do you change the language in Firefox? For the menus etc?
I've checked addons.mozilla.com, apt, and google, but I can't find anything.

You could install the localized version you want from this page
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-rc.html.

I take it that clicking on Edit, then Preferences, selecting the content tab, and then languages under that tab didn't help?
