I did an upgrade this morning and since then the close, maximize and minimize icons are missing from the right side of the window title bar. Is this a bug or a feature?
I have create a bug report.

A link to the bug-report is always good, gives other people to know what you have posted.
It would be a bug.

It's not a bug if you performed a "Partial Upgrade" / "dist-upgrade" that forced packages to be uninstalled. If that's the case, then your system is broken by your hand and it's a waste of time to file a bug report. You just have to find out the package(s) you uninstalled and then wait for them to become installable, or manually grab them from Hardy's repository.

Actually it was an update not an upgrade. Thats what I get for not proof reading.

I may be barking up the wrong tree here but I have just run the update manager for the first time today and it wants to do a partial upgrade, quite a few upgrades but only one removal - foomatic-db-hpijs
Could that be the culprit package?

I have the same problem, both on my desktop and my laptop. The only way to the get the missing buttons is by disabling compiz.

I have this bug too with compiz enabled. Any ideas about what is going on?

Actually I haven't had the problem since alpha 2, but on alpha 3 compiz won't run for me so I don't have to worry about it.
