I use NoNetDebs to download .debs, use AptOnCD to make a repository CD out of them, and try to install software with Synaptic. However, when I try to install/upgrade Synaptic decides to mark loads of softwarefor uninstallation. Apparently it thinks things like gnome-panel etc. are optional. So I unmark all that software, but then it unmarks all the software I want to install. This won't work!
A little help?
