Documents folder in vista

I installed Ubuntu inside vista. Is there any harm copy files back and forth between my vista docs folder and Ubuntu's? Also is there anyway to get video files to display as thumbnails?

disregard the video thumbnails question...i found the answer.

I dual-boot with Windows XP and Ubuntu, and I have copied files in between both before, so there shouldn't be a problem. Try it out with a file.
