Hi:

I was wondering if there was an alternative to amazon unbox or itunes which only seem to be available for windows.

Basically, I want to watch a few episodes of the show Supernatural that are not on DVD yet. I don't mind paying for the episodes legally, but I need something that will work on Ubuntu.

Thanks.

Since those are proprietary clients to purchase media they are the only way to download media from the respective vendors. You could try wine but note the lack of functionality.

As for Unbox http://adterrasperaspera.com/blog/2007/03/11/amazon-unbox-a-linux-users-perspective and http://happylinuxthoughts.blogspot.com/2007/09/amazons-windows-only-video-service.html
