View Full Version : Installing custom Gnome themes.

I read that I only have to open system->preferences->theme and jsut drop the theme packages on it...the install window opens, however when I click on the install button it outputs an error message saying that the file format is invalid.

Any ideas what is wrong :\.

That file is a GDM (Login screen) theme, not a metacity/gtk2 theme. To use this theme open System-->Administration-->Login Screen Setup and go to the Themed Greeter tab to install it.
