hi there...yesterday i installed ubuntu hardy on my desktop...i have an nvidia geforce 8400gs for which i installed the driver to make compiz work...before the drivers were installed, i had a screen resolution..1024x768 but now when i go to system>prefrences>screen resolution the highest resolution mentioned is 800x600 i want to change my resolution to 1024x768...can u help?? please..

Make sure your xorg.conf file looks like this:

Open the terminal and set your resolution with:
sudo xrandr -s 1024x768
