How on earth is one supposed to use to the Beagle search program?
>
Yes, I went to the website, talk about useless. In the terminal, it says launch the daemon in this manner, ...$ beagled, so I did. The result was a blinking cursor., which is what all terminals display when opened. Indeed, 75% of the challenge of Linux is not the technical aspect; it's the documentation, which when compared to Symantec or Microsoft, is too frequently sub par.

Would appreciate help that did not something offensive such as a link to Google Yes, I've had negative experiences with forums.

Thank you

In Ubuntu you can open it by :
Applications> Accessories>Search.
This is different from the Tracker Search tool :-), which is a different search/indexing program

Kubuntu will not be all that different from Ubuntu, I suppose.

Used: Start>Utilities>search because there is no accessories.
End result: "No such file on my computer," which of course contradicts the long term memories of "Adept package installer" & me. I blame dolphin file manager, which I hate. Nautilus was exponentially better, but I can't find it either.
Appreciate the effort though
