I was asked here;
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=70771&page=18
to give more detail on how to change the color of the Humility Icons directory icon.

First copy/paste and rename the theme directory so that you do not overwrite the defaults and put it back into the .icons dir.

1. Open nautilus and browse to the;
$THEME/scalable/filesytems
directory and open the gnome-fs-directory in inkscape.

2. If necessary, make the window bigger and hit "5" on your keyboard.

3. Place your mouse 2/3, or lower, down the icon....click/grab the gray, transparent layer and move it, to be sure you infact have the gray layer. Then, rt-click and Delete it.

4. Again, 2/3 down the icon click, to select, the brown layer.

5. Shift+Ctrl+F

6. In the bottom right change the color value to
3465a4ff
for the blue I have chosen or whatever you want.

7. File>Vacuum Defs

8. Ctrl+s to save

Not a big deal, but hopefully helpful to someone, and kept out of the screenie thread.
