View Full Version : [ubuntu] [SOLVED] Opening windows not fully visible on workspace

Perhaps this question is just too basic but I really couldn't find anything out there to help me out haha

So this is only a problem when I open a window (firefox/terminal/everything)...for example it opens in the uppermost top left corner and I can't click the bar on the top to move or close it. I can alt+click it and move it down from there but it would be nice if everything just opened centered. But I don't know how to set that up ...

I'm using the Advanced Desktop Effects settings and other than this things are working fine.

Oh and after I do move it down it won't go back up so that the titlebar is blocked, which is a good thing, butI would like it to never be blocked lol

Open Advanced desktop effects settings (ccsm), goto Place Windows and select Placement mode as centered.
