tried on xp, mic ok. tried voice recorder, didnt work. dl audacity, didnt work.

Double-click on the speaker icon up by the date, and check that the mic volume is turned up. If that doesn't help, feel free to ask!

harty 64, gazelle gazp5. set all v control to max, tried different inputs & record as. all updates 100% all options for recorder installed.

adjusted per screenshot----nothing but static. tried built in mic & my handheld.

still not working properly. voice is a bit louder (very hard 2 hear)with lots of noise.

update---re-ran update drivers & re-booted. much better now! only a slight noise. this should be ok 4 what i have to do. please go ahead with screen shot & maybe i can fine tune it. how often should i check 4 updated drivers? i thought that i would b notified?

Usually there is a post on the forums when a new System76 driver version is released. It should also trigger your update notification icon.

With the Gazelle, there is always gonna be a little static with the internal mic.

Hey i also have a problem with my mic. i cant hear it on ubuntu but on windows 7 i can. My mic doesnt work in skype or others program who can rekording.
Can someone please help me :)
