What does that error mean? I am trying to get on an irc and it gives me that error.

Unable to connect : java.security.AccessControlException : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission chat.us.freenode.net resolve)

I have the latest version of java installed.

What irc client is giving you that error? Why not use another irc client like xchat, pidgin, or konversation.
