Hi,
Has anyone successfully managed to get Open Office (the database bit) connected to a MySQL (v5.0 I think, from the repos) database using the ODB connector in 64bit ubuntu? I've looked through various how-tos, and downloaded connector from MySQL website.
The connector that is in the repo's (v3.51) installs fine, and I can even set up a DSN, and it connects ok in Open Office. However, when I try to to anything, show tables etc, OO crashes.]
The latest RPM from MySQL website for the connector (v5.1.4-0) won't install because there are loads of missing dependencies.
I'm totally stuck, and although I've set up the database in MySQL, I'm more comfortable doing data manipulation in MS Access, so thought OO would be the ticket.
Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received.
Many thanks
