My wireless connection works almost flawlessly. It connects promptly every time. Unfortunaly, I need to log in and tell it where to connect to. Is it possible to design a start up script that automatically connects at boot time, not at log on? Any good linky?

For example putting your login script inside rc.local? Or adding a runlevel directive?

Can you elaborate or give a link? I'm having the same issue as the poster, and your answer may as well have been written in Japanese, as I've been running Ubuntu for all of 4 days how and don't quite understand most of the details yet.

Means "Sounds good but totally untrue" in Hawaiian. (J/k)

This tells you how to edit your rc.local. If you know the terminal command for what you want to do, it's real easy.

Ok, how about the command that would perform this function and some examples of the command's usage.
