Long time computer user. Semi new to Ubuntu. I am building a new system and i just wanted to get feedback about possible hardware incompatibility. I run Ubuntu on my work Dell d400 laptop but i am definitely no power user when it comes to Linux. My biggest fear with this setup is the Raid card but some reviews on Newegg said it would work. I was also hoping to hook up the onboard sound to a 5.1 digital input. Anyone use any of this hardware and have a story to tell?

Thanks for looking.

only thing I'm not sure about would be the

3ware 9650SE-4LPML PCI Express Lanes: 4 SATA II Controller Card - Retail

the rest seem to be basic hardware that I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've yet to hear about a hdd, proc, ram, or system board ubuntu can't run on.
