ATI Radeon 1550 no DVI

I have no dvi out put on my system. VGA works fine but DVI is dead to the system. The card is fine I have checked the card in a xp system and it works fine. I am running 7.10 and have tried 8.04. I have a AMD athlon 64 on a Neo K8N main board 2g of ram and a pair of 80 GB sata drives.

PS I have tried envy with no luck and have run aitconfig with the dual head option. Ubuntu just seems to hate this card, I am unsure where to go..... The 15" mutisync is getting annoying.....
