Hard drive warms up during idle?

When I lock my screen and leave my laptop for a few hours, its temperature is about 5C above normal, at around 52 max. that's not dangerous, but I wonder why it's doing that.

Bump. The drive only gets that hot when the computer is on, and the screen is down, or so it seems. Not when I'm using it, and not when it's suspended.

Check the temp settings in the BIOS, and also check that the fans are fully functional at both hi and low speeds, and no blockage at the exaust ports.
They could be working on high but not low.
