Problem with windows!

Hi! I have a problem with my title bar. i can't close, minimize or maximize windows without right clicking! I got the problem since i installed beryl. plz help me.. (I use ubuntu 8.04.)

I would not recommend using beryl but compiz-fusion, which supersedes beryl functionality. The latter is very reliable.

Did you install beryl or Compiz-Fusion? Compiz-Fusion comes with ubuntu and probably would be a better bet. But anyway, Try installing Emerald. It might help with the title bar issue. Emerald-Themes has not been included in ubuntu since feisty so if you want a different theme than the default emerald one download from http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/emerald-themes

I installed both... should I uninstall some of them?? I am new to ubuntu because I used Windows before. where do I download Emerald?

thanks, guys! i figured out that Compiz-fusion is working much better than Beryl! the problem is finally solved!
