I was wondering if there is anything in ubuntu that can make my file manager look more like the one in mac. (the multiple columns that help you keep track of file structure)

Is it possible to mod the existing one to look like that or would I have to replace it....

I, too, would be infinitely pleased to find something that successfully implements the functionality of Finder. The closest thing I found was GNUStep, which in my opinion was disappointing, but worth a look if you're interested. Last I checked, it was limited, however, to three panels, rather than the indefinitely expanding number of panels Finder creates. Dolphin can have two panels, but this still isn't really what Finder is about. If anyone has any breakthroughs, please, do post!
