Being new to Ubuntu I am looking for a wireless PCI card which will work with the 7.10 version right out of the box. I live in the United States.

My thanks to all!

Take a look here:

I am sure you will find a number of them known to work here.

I have had real good luck with DLINK in both laptops and desktops. Also
with Belkin and linksys.

Thank you for the advice. I should have mentioned that the card would go into a desktop. I have read good things about the "TP Link TL WN550G." Any comments on this card?

Thanks again!

My Edimax EW-7128G (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833315041) was cheap and worked out-of-the-box in Kubuntu Gutsy, since it uses a Ralink chipset.

The "Edimax" sounds great! Does anyone know how well it works with "Ubuntu 7.10?"

Thanks!

7.10 is nicknamed Gutsy Gibbon, and that's the one I installed it on originally. I moved my desk, so I now use a wired connection, but I believe it still works fine on Hardy (8.04).
