I am set up to bypass login and go straight to my desktop. If I logout (which I need to do to enter root, for example) I get the login screen but instantly get a message with "Authentication failed". If I click OK it just comes back. I can only switch off.
This happened after I played about with keyrings, not really understanding what I was doing :( because I wanted to get rid of the annoying window that pops up every time I boot asking for a password before it will connect my wireless.
How can I:
- get my login screen back?
- less important, but it would be nice -- get rid of the need to enter a password to connect my wireless?
