I have wanted to try a few OSs for a long time but havent had the time or computers to try them. They are:
NetBSD
Debian Lenny
FreeBSD
Gentoo
Dragonfly BSD
LFS
Mepis
Lunar linux
Slax Sorcerer

Not enough computers? I just use Virtualbox and test drive every OS I want. :)

yeah but then it isnt nearly as fun as the real thing since virtualbox handles networking and you dont have to configure your X server properly, webcams dont have to be configured, speed isnt the same, you dont get a real feel for the OS etc.

i am very interested in those and will keep an eye on their development.

That might be true but VB makes things much easier and less time consuming if you just want to try something out.

OpenBSD is one OS that I prefer to not install in a VB environment though.

I want to try out fedora core 9, and actually install it but my internet keeps going out, so updates would be a no no. I never can use vmware player etc...I fail hardcore at it. Look's like this fresh install of windows XP stripped down to only what I need will have to stay on here until I can switch ISP's.

I know windows, I know Linux so there's just Mac OS missing.

Mac OS X, I don't have an Apple PC(I know I can make it to run on a common PC, but it wouldn't be the same thing)
