I know I personally hate it when I have to use crappy windows icons on my linux box. SVG and PNG are so much better than the small crappy .ico
Post what you have here so everyone can share. Maybe this will even get stickied.
I'll start it off with my WoW ( World of Warcraft ) icon
I searched EVERYWHERE for a decent one and finally found one as a mac icon inside of a macbin stuffed file. Needless to say it was a major pain to extract, converting was easy once I found the right tool. Here it is so others won't have to go through the same pain I did if they were able to actually ever find it.
I've included 3 I found just in case, but I'm sure you can tell which is my favorite. I also attached the original .icon file in case an OS X reader runs accross this and wants it. It's the gzip'd one.
I was gonna also post these over at the transgaming.org forums but I don't have an account there since I use CVS so I can't post. If someone wanted to start a similar thread over there I would have no problem if you reposted these so as to share the love.
