I am running Hardy on my PowerBook G4 Al and by and large it's working well. However, I have two problems I haven't been able to solve (can't get Mac-on-Linux to run and can't get trackpad tap to stick because the trackpad hardware Hardy sensed is incorrect). I was wondering if a possible solution would be to start from scratch with Gutsy, get these things working and then upgrade to Hardy through Aptitude. If I did this, would a functioning MOL and the proper trackpad hardware be retained?
