...sort of. I'll at least stick with it until NVIDIA releases a NetBSD driver (in other words, forever). Anyway, the lucky winner is... SLAX!

SLAX is a lightweight Slackware that provides a complete but very minimal system to build on. It's stable, clean, and works great.

You'll want to read this thread (http://www.slax.org/forum.php?action=view&parentID=4456), especially the post below:
Hmmm my fault, the Slax installer isn't in Slax6, I put it back into mine version. I've uploaded it here :

http://backtrack.serveftp.com/backtrack/misctools/slax6-install.kmdr

Its a kmdr script, so download it to where you want, say /usr/share/slax/, then run it using the following :

/usr/bin/kmdr-executor /usr/share/slax/slax6-install.kmdr

Ignore the portion on the "live" version install, use the "real" version install.

Both of my computers always fail to install any form of slackware. :(

I would die. My top three Linux distros (not counting BSD!) are SLAX, Zenwalk, and Slackware itself.

You can almost certainly operate SLAX (http://www.slax.org/) or Zenwalk (http://www.zenwalk.org/) without too much trouble. You could probably handle regular Slackware, but you'd have to be prepared to struggle a little and learn a lot. It's a steep learning curve.

I confirm! SLAX is amazing.
Debian and Fedora (& BSD/slackware) are the greatest too. Ubuntu is very good for a start, but well no one will use that for professional activities.

Talk about flamebait. I'm not even going to respond to that.

Ubuntu is simply awesome; But while on the subject of slackware, I would voice Vectorlinux definitly amongst the easiest to install and get going. Wolvix is another slack-based distro that rocks. vector linux is fast as is wolvix. Zenwalk is very good too as is slax.
But the ultimate OS may be anything. Archlinux is this for some, Ubuntu, Mint , Mepis, Dreamlinux, Sabayon,., etc.

Hey, i could have gone much further. Still, we have to keep it civilized. :)
I have nothing against slax, in fact i think it rocks. I use it on a USB stick, packed with gparted, partimage, ntfsprogs, avast and f-prot. It's really slick for those (windows) rescue missions you have to to once in while!

Zenwalk is awesome. I found Wolvix disappointing, but I think my disk was corrupted.

Be prepared to learn. You'll either sink or swim. Do consider trying Zenwalk or SLAX if regular Slackware doesn't work out for you.

I had issues with Slax in the past working with my laptop's ipw3945 wifi,
so I wonder if that support has improved. So far I am happy with ZenWalk5.2 beta on my laptop (wifi works great).
Maybe I'll test Slax again to see how it does on my laptop.

I'm going to try this and Zenwalk out because I'm thinking of switching out of Ubuntu as it's got too much stuff on it I don't want and feels a bit bloated. These distros have caught my attention. Do they use that Slackware package manager that doesn't pull in any dependencies?

Zenwalk uses netpkg- which will download and install/upgrade software from official mirrors and will check dependencies.

Well, this is a bit OT, but anyway; :)
e-uae is probably your best bet under linux. WinUAE is unfortunately much more stable and advanced, but it is windows software i'm afraid.
Here you go: http://morgoth.free.fr/ubports/?d=hardy

You'll probably need an kickstart image, and a disk images to run anything, but where to get those i cant tell you. make a search on "tosec" or "adf" on some search engine if you prefer to know more.
Sorry for the OT people.
