Search around the gaming forum, there's most likely multiple how-to's on getting steam installed and configured under Wine.

But I've heard that it runs very well :)

I've used it.. goes down on FPS.. oh btw, I remember doing two things to make it work:
1. Adding fonts to the WINE's drive_c/Windows/fonts
2. Making some file read-only or something inside the programs folder for CS..

But thats when you play the HL Counterstrike (Valve edition)

Supposedly Valve is porting the source engine to linux... From what I understand.

just to let everyone here know, im quite thoroughly through with windows. i pretty much refuse to use any of it on my computer :P including wine.



we germans truly are stubborn :D
