steam resetting pc

Hey, this morning when i tried to start steam through wine, it seemed to have reset my pc. I thought it was a one off, so i booted back up and tried again. It seems that trying to open steam just makes my computer restart :s

this never happened before, the actual logging in part doesn't appear, just after about 5 seconds the computer reboots.

I have no idea why this has happened, anyone heard of it before?

That's a new one on me. In fact, apps run in Wine shouldn't be able to do that. Is the computer actually rebooting, or is X just restarting?

It's not X, the whole computer is completely rebooting.
