I have an efficientPC Anubis laptop (http://efficientpc.co.uk/laptops/anubis/). I bought it with Gutsy 64bit pre-installed and it's great. However since updating to Hardy there are one or two little problems.

The main one is that the wireless card no longer connects automatically to my wireless router on boot/resume. The connection is unencrypted but I have the SSID broadcast switched off.

If I click the wireless icon, select "connect to other wireless network" and type in my SSID it works fine, but I can't find any way to get the PC to do this by itslef every time I switch it on/ resume from standby. It did it just fine under Gutsy.

How do I tell Ubuntu to automatically look for that SSID every time I switch it on?

Nobody? I've seen a few other threadds here complaining about hidden SSIDs but no solution. Is this a bug in Hardy? Should I report it as such?

Is there still no new news about the hidden SSID bug?
