Hi,

I have a cisco877 at home and i would like to output the log file into my ubuntu box. But i am not sure which package to use and if that will make my cisco877 box too busy to work. Can any guru here give me a suggestion? I mainly just want to monitor traffic on cisco's firewall (incoming mainly).

Thanks in advance.

have you tried installing a syslog server on your ubuntu desktop? then setting up the 877 to output its syslog information to the desktop

i managed to pull some log from cisco to ubuntu. but then all the log come into one file. Is there a way to put all firewall (WAN SIDE) of log into one file and the rest into another file?
