IMAP Email checker in taskbar / desktop widget

I'm looking for a little tool that checks my imap mail account for new mails regularly. Best would be a mini program for the kde control bar like there:

I'm also using SuperKaramba so a theme for that would work, too.

I only find stuff to check via pop3 which is not what I need. Is there anything out there I could use??

you can try out gnubiff or mail-notification.
I use/d both under Ubuntu (gnome), but I assume, they work in kde, too.
