Can anyone tell me the default font settings for Mac for me to use on my Ubuntu system?

Current settings I have just don't look exactly right. They are:

Application font: Bitstream Vera Sans Roman 8.6
Documentation font: Aquabase 9
Desktop Font: Lucida Grande 9
Window Title font: Lucida Grande 9
Fixed Width Font: Bitsream Vera Sans Mono Roman 10

Mac handles fonts in an entirely different way than Linux (how, I'm not sure).

What it boils down to, is that you won't get how the font looks in OS X and Linux the same. Sucks doesn't it?

I think my iMac uses helvetica fonts mostly.

The closest way for Ubuntu's font rendering to act like Mac OS X (at least pre-Panther) is to use subpixel font rendering with slight hinting.
