Hi all, this is my first post on the Ubuntu Forums, have been a member for some time but have never really posted.... until now.

I seem to be having a problem with the Live CD of Hardy on my Dell Inspiron 1525N. I have an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card and before fully upgrading to Hardy from Gutsy I decided to check this out to see if I would encounter any problems. The wireless is detecting my network, not a problem; however, it seems to go in endless loops trying to actually connect, often times messing with my router (connected to the main desktop at home). I have looked for many fixes to this issue and with no luck so far.

Any ideas ?

If it is having issues, wait till Dell comes out with their custom Image of Ubuntu to actually do the upgrade.

My Intel AGN card worked flawlessly with both 32 and 64 bit versions, and Intel is one of the best native drivers available right now, so it may just be the .iso. Try checking it's md5sum.

I still say your best bet if you absolutely have to have this laptop running is to wait till Dell gets their image out. You can call Dell's Ubuntu support number, they may be able to help, too.

I'd get the number for ya, but it's in the bedroom and my gal is asleep.

Thank you for your response and I feel like waiting for the image would probably be the best option. I have all morning to tinker with it so I will see if I can find a solution to it as well.

Once again, thank you for your response.
