I am desperate for some ideas for my wife's 40th birthday. I have spent a week messing with Gimp and quite honestly, I am not an artist and not even that creative when it comes to design. So, I am asking you artistic types if someone would give me an idea of what I could do for a card.
The invite will have a 5" x 7" front (doesn't matter if it's vertical or horizontal). I was thinking of something in blacks since it's #40. I played with different ideas but frankly, they sucked.
If anyone out there is into design and has an idea, I would completely and totally appreciate some help!
Thanks, Landon

You want to put the card together, or want someone else to? :)

I considered the latter but it wouldn't be as personal. More so, just some thoughts, ideas...etcetera. :)

Well, it depends on a lot of things. You know your wife better than we do, so we can suggest a million and one ideas.
If she's a humorous sort, you can poke light fun at her turning the dreaded 40.
If she's more of a sentimentalist, you can make her a pretty poem of some sort, or quote her favorite poem on the cards.
As far as actual ideas go... again, it's hard to say. I'd stick with things she loves and run with that.

Thanks for the response. It's not actually a card for her, it's invitations that I am going to send-out for the surprise party I am having for her.
If I asked for someone to help me with a card for her...that would be bad :D
