This question is in regards to three Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 server installations I have running, two of them 32-bit and one 64-bit.

On Monday, I did a apt-get upgrade and noticed a new linux image was being distributed. After a dist-upgrade, I had linux 2.6.24-17 installed and running on all three machines. I beleive the previous version was 2.6.24-16.

However, I have not seen any security announcements about this. Was there an issue with the previous kernel version?

If there are no security issues, is there a list or web page that shows announcements for non-critical updates to ubuntu?

Just curious, thanks.
