Hi All!
I have an iMac G3, (Summer 2000 model, 350MHZ Indigo) currently running Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther", but I really want to put Xubuntu on it, just because I can!
To make things worse, I have only used Mac OS X since today, so I would be most grateful if somebody could help me on this.
Yes- I have updated the firmware to version 4.2.1 or something but I have problems with my Hardy Alternate CD- every time I try to put it in, my iMac just spits it out.
Every time.
Mac OS X recognizes other CDs- I know this because it had just installed Panther today.
Strangely enough, my Laptop (not Apple) recognizes the Xubuntu CD, but it isn't a PowerPC, so it cannot install it.
Is it a CD firmware problem, in which case- how do I fix it?
Or is it just my bad CD burning skills- what speed should I burn the CD on my laptop. Does my iMac not like the speed which the CD was burnt at?
Thanks everybody in advance,
