Hey i have been seeing a bunch of threads about graphic issues were updateing the video card helped. How can i check if mine is up to date and how do i update it if it is not? i Have a GeForce 8500 256mb ram

Well first make sure the lastest Linux distro supports well with u r graphics cards. If not, then search for the suitable driver for it. Still no luck, then go for a different card. Almost all nv chips got a good OSS drivers avail now. U just need a stable new kernel and a driver to sort out the problems.
