I ran

sudo apt-get install sensors-applet

and added "Hardware Sensors Monitor" to the task bar
even did a re-boot but it stil says "sensors not found!"
my mobo is a newer model Am2/AM2+ by MSI K9NGM4-F V2
are there updates somewhere to make Hardware Sensors Monitor current
with newer hardware?

Also, is there a GPL program to monitor cpu freq ?

While I'm asking, how do I remove the LAN icon from the task bar?
I use 56K

Thanks

A great place to start with monitors is this thread:
conky scripts (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=281865)

System / Preferences / Sessions then uncheck Network Manager

I removed the "Tracker Applet" using this way so I guess it would work the same as "Network Manager" (nmapplet)

Hope this helps :D
